MIT/RSI: Information

The Research Science Institute at MIT

Each summer, a Swiss candidate – together with 80 international peers – gets to participate in the Research Science Institute (RSI). RSI is a six-week research summer camp for well-versed high school students. It is organized by the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE) and hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The heart of RSI is a five-week research internship, during which the participants get to carry out their own science or engineering research projects under the tutelage of experienced researchers. They gain first-hand experience of how to conduct research as well as of how to translate findings into oral and written reports. In addition, RSI involves fascinating lectures given by distinguished professors (some of them Nobel laureates), exciting excursions to companies and sights in the Boston area and many fun activities over the weekends.

Are you excited to get in touch with scientific research? To live out your enthusiasm for the STEM subjects to the fullest? To meet likeminded peers and to share your passions?
